1. Do Some Meditation

A little bit of meditation goes a long way. Doing this as often as you can benefit you in profound ways. Meditation helps you build skills to manage your stress which is why some people do it at night as a way to relax after work. It is perfect for clearing your mind which may help you sleep better.

However, meditating in the morning can help you Increase your imagination and creativity which are important to productivity. Starting your day this way can help you make the most out of it.

2. Drink A Glass Of Water

Hydrating is very important for so many reasons; it is recommended to start your day with a glass of water in the morning for its many benefits and it helps in having a healthy bowel movement.

This is something easy to do for most but funnily there are people who can’t stand the taste of water or lake of it. If that is you, squeeze a lemon or lime wedge into your water before drinking it. Drinking lemon water is said to help with getting clearer skin so that’s a plus.

Simply fill up a water bottle and try to keep yourself hydrated all through the day, not just mornings. 

3. Do Some Yoga and Stretches

Time spent in yoga can be a very peaceful and special moment for many. It’s a great way to tune in and connect with yourself while gaining physical benefits from it also. If you cannot practice yoga sometimes, a great alternative is to lay out your yoga mat and do some stretches. Stretching your muscles helps in feeling relaxed and that can put you in a good mood that can last all day long.

4. Say Some Affirmations In The Morning

Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind so that in turn, they affect our behavior, thinking patterns, and mood. Morning affirmations can be used as a preemptive defense mechanism to get rid of negative thoughts and situations that one may come across each day.

When you say these positive words often you start to believe in them and once you believe in your words and thoughts, it will have an impact on your mood and attitude. That is why you should only say positive things about yourself. Saying affirmations in the morning is a nice addition to a self care morning routine. Your mind is fresh and ready to receive new information at that time of day.

5. Eat A Healthy Breakfast

A breakfast often signals the end of the overnight fasting period. It provides the body with the nutrients it needs for good health. It also replenishes your supply of glucose and raises energy levels. Energy is required in the morning in order to carry out tasks and acheive the plans made for the day. Keeping it light and nutririous is a way to go so opting for this like fruits and protein packed smoothies and oatmeal is just perfect.

Having your daily tasks listed in a planner helps in coordinating your day so that you don’t forget to do important things. A planner will help you approach your day in a calm way which further promotes self care.
