When it comes to decorating a small bedroom, the biggest challenge is creating enough room for storage while avoiding clutter. Sometimes, it’s quite hard to achieve but this post will show you how to create storage spaces in a very stylish way!

 

For any room in general, you want to be able to tuck things away neatly and also create floor space, just some room to easily move about. You have to be able to easily reach your storage space; easily get things in and out of them otherwise you’ll find yourself leaving a mess by not returning items you’ve used. Ease is the word! That’s why I have put together 5 bedroom storage ideas that can transform any bedroom (small or large) using chic and modern decor tips.

 

1. Trunks 

 

These are probably my favorite idea when it comes to storage spaces. I love trunks because of how much of character they provide and the vintage feel to them. They are chic and unique to add to your bedroom as a decor idea while also creating room to tuck books, linens, blankets etc away.  Also, the fact that they are stackable is an ultimate storage tip. Always look for items you can easily stack for optimal maximization of space. To achieve this look above, I’ve put together a list of quality sets of trunks for your choosing. 2. Storage Baskets

Baskets are a no-brainer when it comes to effective storage ideas. They are easy to move about, they would fit in any nook or area and are suitable for storing clothes, shoes,  and general miscellaneous items. There’s no limit to what you can use a basket for. I love them so much. I use one to tuck away my laundry and I have some tucked under my bed for storing books, hair accessories and crafty things. 3. Floor ‘Stand Alone’ Cabinets

I love these cabinets so much. I always had one in my room as a teenager and it came along with me everywhere we moved to. I wish I had taken better care of it because today it would be a vintage piece. However, this storage idea is a 2 in 1 because not only do you get to store your items in the cabinet, you get to store more items on top of it. Plus, it’s movable so you can keep moving them anywhere really to see what floats your boat. They’re just so perfect for all rooms; bedroom, living room, kitchen, and even bathroom.

This is an amazing idea I am yet to try but how brilliant is it? The walls should not be forgotten when it comes to storage spaces. I like this idea because you get to store items in such a manner that it does not take away from your floor space. This idea is going into to books because it’s something I definitely need to try and it’s so cute! You can put ornaments, books, candles etc in them. Just a beautiful decor idea. I think it would be perfect for a nursery and kids room too. The wood aspect is great for anyone who has a boho-chic themed decor as well.

This idea is very popular decor and storage idea found in a lot of bedrooms of different sizes. I love these storage benches because you can store bed covers in them as well as your cozy clothes for night time. Another reason why I love them is that they make a great seat! I mean… for someone like me who gets tired just from putting on clothes I get to sit on them and lace my sneakers. Even though the common location you find these are the end of the bed, I’d use them however way I see fit. They can be on the side of the room, by the door, just anywhere they look best.
