Planning Your Year Ahead By Acting Now

October is here and it officially marks the beginning of the last quarter of this year. Let’s make it count! If you have read this post on how I set and achieve goals, then you know how much I love making plans and staying as organized as possible. It’s not too early to start planning your year ahead.

A lot of us start to feel overwhelmed when we suddenly realize the year is ending and we are yet to accomplish everything we set out to do for the year. Do not panic! It happens. Sometimes things are just beyond our control and our attention is swayed elsewhere just unforeseen circumstances.

The reason why I wrote this post is. we tend to give up when we feel a ‘deadline’ is near and we start to feel hopeless. There are two major things we can do this year as a preparation for the following year. Trust me, these two factors below will give you a big head start for next year.

Achieve The Smaller Goals On Your List

In this time, focusing on small goals that can easily be accomplished gives a sense of accomplishment. When you think back at what this year was like, you’d have things to be proud of. Bigger goals may require time and resources that may be hard to put together at this time of the year.

The holidays are almost here and they no doubt do a number on finances. This is the time, you want to save and not spend. You can still make the year count by accomplishing something on your list that doesn’t cost a fortune.

Set Your Finances Straight Before The Holidays

The first step to taking control of your finances is doing a budget. It will take a little effort, but it’s a great way to get a quick snapshot of the money you have coming in and going out. A lot of families overspend during the holidays on celebrations, gifts, and food. Stay on top of your pocket by designing an easily applicable budget during this time.

If you’re spending more than you have coming in, you need to work out where you can cut back. A proven way to make some cuts is making use of a budget planner. There’s clarity in being able to see the numbers on paper than having them all jumbled up in our heads.

These planners are under $7.00. It’s a small price to pay to save bigger bucks ladies.
